Terms of service

This is a working draft, published so it can be read and corrected. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If something here matters to you commercially, ask before relying on it.

What we provide

A hosted widget you embed in your sites, and a dashboard for reading and answering what people send through it. We aim to keep it available and will tell you when it is not, but this is a young product and we do not offer a contractual uptime figure yet. Saying otherwise would be a promise we have no history to back.

What it costs

$10 a month, covering up to 4 app domains on your account. The first 14 days are free and need no card. Billing is handled by Stripe, and cancelling from the billing screen ends access at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-months, and we will not bill you again after you cancel.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for what your users send through your sites, for telling them the widget is there where the law requires it, and for not embedding the widget on sites you do not control. Do not use it to collect payment details, health records, or anything else that deserves a purpose-built system.

Your data

Your messages are yours. You can export them and you can delete them. If you close your account we delete what we hold, and if we ever shut the service down you will get notice and a way to take your data with you.

Stopping

You can stop whenever you like. We can stop serving an account that is being used to break the law or to attack somebody, and we will say why when we do.
